STATUS UPDATE!!!!!

Behold, a simple summary of our walk with you and is intended to kindle a fire within heart and keep you warm throughout this festive season. I will only hint on 3 points that are most important2.

1. Gratuity

Beloved, warm greetings and love from the Hofa/Abode family here. Will commence by rendering big vote of thanks to all of you there who supported us from day one to the last in various ways through the previous CROWD FUNDING campaign. We wish to thank you again for your invaluable support, friendship and assure you that we will uphold TRANSPARENCY with the collected funds. You generosity towards this cause and will always leave a mark on our hearts.

2. Education

We as well appreciate our partners who have given tirelessly to the Education of the kids for this whole year. We recorded ZERO balance in school dues for every single penny was cleared. Its been a long year with 3 terms but continuously your support has kept us going. With the closure of this 3rd term, we report that all our kids have been promoted to the next classes in school. So thank you for your prayers

3. Livelihood

As the list continues, this is another important aspect I would love to blog about. As I speak, the kids have food, shelter, basic needs and all there is nothing more we could ask of you but say THANK YOU. You have put a smile on all our faces.

You have endured tough times, been anchors in miry places, and held you heads up even amidst a crisis. COMPLETION OF THE BUILDING OF CHILDREN HOME.

This building is currently on the foundation level and requires elevation for the walls but currently construction is at a standstill due to lack of funds to further the work. The construction has always been funded friends through donating a bag of cement, and bricks and different items hence getting us to this level. With provision of the estimated target as stated, this will see the completion of the permanent structure for the HOFA kids. This has many benefits that come handy, like no more rent as we are charged monthly; the new site provides a good ambience for raising the kids away from the noisy city. Some of the key factors considered achievable are:

INTRODUCTION TO HOFA/ABODE

Hope for AIDS Orphans, here and after abbreviated as HOFA, is an independent non-profit indigenous church-based charitable organization partnering with Abode International in UK and many other personnel in the US. The organization was started in 2008 by Mr. Sanon Muyaka, to try and stop the tide of orphaning in particular, and the spread of HIV/AIDS in general. We are a charity that has been going for two years now, and we are looking after a group of orphaned children in Jinja, Uganda. Our team in Uganda is now looking after 26 children of Christian and Muslim faiths.
The team is headed by Sanon Muyaka, and he has a volunteer cook, social worker, hotel management graduate and a teacher, who offer their services every day....and several others on an 'Ad hoc' basis. So the children are very well cared for. We rent a building for them to live in, and feed, clothe and send them to school. We are building completely new premises for them in neighboring Buwenge, and this is where we need help as we need to finish it this year. The building is with one and a half acres of land surrounding it. So when we complete it we will grow food, be rent free and aim to be self-sufficient by adding a few more money making ideas which we have in mind.
