UK CHAPTER

Preamble
In this HOFA/ABODE book, the UK chapter has proven very important and I would suggest you don’t blink while reading this. This chapter was opened in 2010 through Mr. William Birch from Heywood who visited Uganda and met Sanon the director Uganda chapter. It comprises of Manchester, London and Liverpool as per say and is expected to grow in pursuit of a permanent solution to the plight of an African child. Through Bill, the Ireland team led by Joan and Clare came on board, alongside Carol Mitchell, Lisa Harding, Hayley Tuite, Paul Thompson, Stephanie Birch, Frank Coates and Graham Smyth all from UK. In a short time, a team of 15 people from Ireland and 15 others from UK were committed for one year with monthly donations and managed to lay the foundation of the permanent structure for the kids for the future home. This group also worked hand in hand with the widowed ladies at HOFA and started a trade in crafts e.g. bracelets, necklaces which helped raise money for tuition and food. Now the kids have proper beds and mattresses, which are covered with mosquito nets for malaria prevention. There was another great boost when CAFOD an established organization agreed to partner with Abode International in meeting the children's needs like scholastic materials. This UK chapter is still open and a lot is yet to be written so join the story as it unfolds.
Current
In 3 years now, HOFA/ABODE is a registered charity in UK as Abode International and boasts of many achievements in impacting the lives of children and the community. The team has sent many visitors to Uganda to work with the kids and the reports have been great. All this has been achieved through the transparent system that was established where all transactions have receipts and audits are made to double check the accounts. This also entails that the donor’s money is put to good use and for the sent purpose in respect of the efforts by all to support. As a fact, we cannot do this without you our dear reader, consider getting on board.

"GOD SAVE THE QUEEN, GOD SAVE OUR GRACIOUS QUEEN!!!"
Conclusion Remarks
BELOVED, never underestimate the difference YOU can make in the lives of others, just step forward, reach out and help. Together we can make this world a better place when we purpose. Thank you!!!
“Even the smallest act of caring for another person is like a drop of water for it will make ripples throughout the entire pond.”
